These are great. What kind of camera do you use?

Thanks, I'm using a Pentax ZX5 (film SLR) right now, but I'm not liking it so much. I'm looking into a Canon Rebel XTI (digital SLR). Any suggestions on other digital SLRs or do any of you have the Rebel XTI?

I have a digital Canon Rebel XTi :) I love it. Nikon's a big rival for Canon and they have neat cameras, as well. Canon has a better stabilization system in their lenses, though. But I'm obviously bias :)

Amanda, if you want to get pictures with a blurry background, check and see if your camera's got an option anywhere that says, "AV." This means aperture priority and the lower you can get the number associated with that, the smaller the depth of field and the "fuzzier" your background will be. I think f1.4 is the lowest but most cameras don't go that low.

I really like your pics, by the way, Leigh :) You're a very creative person and it shows thru how you view things. I like your mailbox and your door knocker a lot. The red color on the black is really really nice. I also like how you left the blank space in the picture of your son on his bike. I think everyone's kind of natural thing is to put as much of a subject in the frame (I really like to do this on close-ups - it almost gets abstract, ya know?) so when we see pictures with void space, it's really catchy and fun!

can you guess which picture i really like the best? the one with of the drain. It's the whole squares/pattern thing. Also, the knocker makes me think "hallelujah" like the guy from Joe vs the Volcano, the suitcase man.
